through meditation and calming of the mind, we come to understand and feel the chi within our body. Once we learn how to cultivate the chi, we then can move, grow and pull chi from other sources inside and outside the body. The chi is a pathway towards understanding the deeper aspects of who we are. calming the mind and learning to meditate and generate the chi helps us tap into a universal energy that flows through all of us. The energy is there, we just have to make the effort to learn how to tap into it and come to a closer understanding of self. By understanding self, you then can understand others.
Here is a poem to help understand better
"Two inches below the navel, you must first fill and grow. Then center the forehead to open the eye, to move the heaven's flow. Focus the center to generate life, is the third thing you must do. Then you are ready to fill these points and sink the chi into.
Circle and flow, steal and feel, the chi is your to control. Calm your mind and fill your self with energy that's hard to hold. Let it be, do not force, for escape your grasp it will Open your mind and cup your base and let yourself be filled."

Dear Sifu Dale
This might sound like a weird question. Is chi alive? Any information would be great. Thanks for your time. Sincerely, Charles
